I'm worried about a weakness in my application. Will this hurt my chances?

Got a bad grade? Had a rough freshman year? Worried about your SAT/ACT score? Or your lack of AP classes? We're here for you.

I totally understand your concern about the impact of this weakness on your college admissions. However, it’s important to remember that most colleges in the U.S. use a process called "holistic review" where they consider multiple factors like GPA, test scores, extracurriculars, and personal qualities. While your stats or EC's may not be as high as some other applicants, it's important to remember that each college has its own unique admissions criteria. It's difficult for me to say whether you will get into specific schools without knowing more about your complete application.

Of course, you can’t change what’s happened in the past. So what you can do now to recover your chances of admission is strengthen the parts that ARE under your control.

Focus on improving your overall academic performance moving forward, develop strong extracurricular activities or passion projects that demonstrate leadership, and most importantly, focus on crafting EXCELLENT college essays in your senior year of high school.

We actually have tons of resources to help you with all of these things!
